WAY TOLOOK AT LIFE

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other's cups.

Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it."

Don't let the cups drive you... Enjoy the coffee instead

SEARCH

                I

Precariously  juxtaposed

Man’s endless predicament

Desiring the impossible

Shunning the inevitable

Down right  idiocy

Helplessly giving in to it .

Before me  I beheld

A light in my horizon

Strangely captivating

Intrigued I drew near

Captured by  golden brightness

Brief  moments flickered

Creating an  aura

A steadfastness  illogical

Duping me into suspension .

                 II

Incredibly lay the truth

 Mere passing clouds

Meant just to be swept away

Yet deliberately I turn  off

Laying discretion  and caution aside

Willingly embracing ignorance

As erratic superfluous emotions

Tumble like fresh borne floods

Ruthlessly breaking shores

Stilling  soul  and senses

Into somber stupefaction.

                III

     Along life’s pathway

     My soul  searches

     Frantically I looked about

     Surprisingly yet sadly

     Many a  soul I see

     Agonizingly searching

    Is there anybody  ?

    Empathetic souls none

    Fill  vacuums foreboding

Be it kith or kin ?

    All at ear shot

    Some at hand’s length

No time nor ears to lend.

   Wallowing in swamped up feeling

   Searching  to share

   Only grotesque masks strut

   On the stage of Life

  Moving in  many worlds

Cold and callous of their making .

                IV

  Finding  my respite

I let slip in to shades

  Of make believe secured ness

  An overpowering glee

  Ecstasy mingled in agony

  I am caught prevailing

  Bounded in timelessness

   Short lived though it be

Like the last embers of  fire place

Or the dying flame of a finished candle

  Groping for  a  hold

I find my feet  at last

As I fall back with a thud

As wisdom  re -turns  to return

Reality strikes like  a brain storm

As each to our own orbit

  We  got to return

  To the rightful place

  Where we belong !!!

Read the paragraph below...

and try to understand the meaning.

Then look for the answer below. Test yourself first.

'Two individuals proceeded towards the apex of a natural geologic
protuberance, the purpose of their expedition being the procurement
of a sample of fluid hydride of oxygen in a large vessel, the exact
size of which was unspecified.

'One member of the team precipitously descended, sustaining severe
damage to the upper cranial portion of his anatomical structure;
subsequently, the second member of the team performed
self-rotational translation, orientated in the same direction taken by the
first team member.'

ANY GUESSES WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT???

Scroll down to understand :.......in simple English what does this translate to?

:

'Jack and Jill went up the hill

To fetch a pail of water

Jack fell down and broke his crown

And Jill came tumbling after!'

Sharings what ive read ..

Episode in Socrates Life .

Socrates built a house and invited his friends home .Each of his friends had something to say but everything negative one said the hall was too small the other said the entrance was  facing wrong direction one other said the height of the  ceiling was too small and hence the house looked drab they  unanimously kept saying the rooms were too small and hearing this Socrates couldn’t help giving a punch statement ‘’the rooms are no doubt small but  if it has place to fill  many good large hearted  friends then that’s more than enough ‘’ the friends couldn’t but shut their mouths and refrained from commenting there on..

MIND READING HELMETS

To save life helmets are used but to read thought process helmets are being designed in England. English scientists have  invented a helmet which can read mind’s thoughts .This is going to be helpful in video games for instance  in playing WWF if the opponent is to be given a series of  blows or punches  just the thought gets transmitted  to the computer and the action is done .So there  will be no need of using  fingers or handling buttons . Next year it is  produced and set for  sale .As a result scientists believe that thought processes alone could be used to operate computers in the future .

HELPFUL TIPS

Tips to Stay Young and Happy Always

1. Throw out nonessential numbers.
This includes age, weight, and height.

Let the doctors worry about them.. That is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down.

(Keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches!)

3. Keep learning:

Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
Never let the brain get idle.
'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.'
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!

4. Enjoy the simple things

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with him or her!

6. The tears happen:

Endure, grieve, and move on.
The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourself.
LIVE while you are alive.

7 Surround yourself with what you love:

Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever.
Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health:

If it is good, preserve it.
If it is unstable, improve it.
If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.
Don't take guilt trips.
Take a trip to the mall, even to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity

And if you don't send this to at least four people - who cares?
But do share this with someone.

Thank you.

Have a great day.

SPRING BOARD

           SPRING BOARD

Pushing thru the maddening crowds

Leaving behind  noisy chatters

I seek some  private  corner

My cave to sojourn for a while

Stillness ne’er irks nor is  sombre

A solace in silence that welcomes me

Unspeaking  I commune

With me, my Lord ..myself

CHUCK OFF E.D.

CHUCK OFF ’EMOTIONAL DEPENDANTS ’

Water studs on lotus leaves

Shyly running down

Scoops of butter on crane’s head

Slimly slipping away  .

Joys or sorrows

Ups or  downs

Highs  or  lows

Stifles or giggles

When  precariously  see-saw

On another man’s scales

 Self  gets  stifled

Ousted out of driver seat

Relegated to  the back

Deflated  you are prompted

To play  on Second  fiddle

Man awake to hearken

Hear!The  voice  of  caution

Emotional dependence kills

Damming   individual spirits

To hell with dependants

Chuck them o’er board

Learn to stand  firmly

On your two big feet

To  carry you through ……Life…
